Antelope Commons is a planned multifamily development totaling 200 apartment units with mixed-use retail component located in the Antelope Valley, California. The Developer worked closely with members of the Citizens Advisory Committee, the City Planning Department, City Council and the City Manager in a joint effort to create a new mixed-use zoning ordinance that successfully upzoned 11 acres from single family residential to high density multifamily through the City’s General Plan Update. A key entitlement strategy was to invoke the City’s published General Plan Update goals supporting transportation-oriented development to leverage off of the site’s location along a major arterial signalized intersection in proximity to the community’s retail center, including Wal-Mart. $31,300,000
